Sunday, January 26th, saw a full house for our 2D Picture Felting Workshop, and what a fantastic session it was! With every seat taken, the space was alive with creativity as participants explored the art of needle felting to create their own unique pictures.

A Hands-On Creative Experience

The workshop focused on using wool fibres and needle felting techniques to build up texture and depth in a 2D design. From the first few tufts of wool to the final details, each person experimented with colours, layering, and shaping to bring their ideas to life. It was wonderful to see so many different interpretations and styles emerge throughout the session.

A Relaxed and Supportive Atmosphere

Workshops like these aren’t just about learning a skill—they’re also about enjoying the process. The room was filled with quiet concentration, bursts of conversation, and plenty of encouragement as everyone worked on their pieces. Whether complete beginners or more experienced felters, everyone embraced the challenge and produced something truly special.

Amazing Results

By the end of the workshop, the variety of completed pictures was amazing. From delicate landscapes to bold abstract designs, each piece reflected the personality and creativity of its maker. It’s always inspiring to see how the same materials can lead to such unique results.

Thank you to everyone who joined—it was a pleasure to host! I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
